Youth Engagement Study | Research Assistant
Primary Investigator: Dr. Allison Redlich
NSF/NIJ Funded
This study focused on how youth engage with the court system, particularly their competency with plea bargaining. My duties included methods quality assessment, and participant recruitment, interviewing and data collection
September 2014 - April 2015
The Forensic Panel | Research Intern
My main responsibility was managing an extremely large survey data set on public attitudes toward the death penalty. Additionally I assisted in research gathering and writing for articles. I also had the opportunity to review pre-trial materials as well as transcribe forensic psychiatric interview.

Berks Women in Crisis | Legal Intern
Under the direct supervision of the executive director, I reviewed existing task-force's multi-system approaches to address domestic violence. This included research collection of medical, social work, and criminal justice practices. At the completion of my internship, I provided the shelter with a completed manual and SOPs.
May 2013 - September 2013
Positive Resources, LLC. | Research Assistant
Assisting a sentencing mitigation specialist, I provided research assistance on a capital punishment case where the company was hired by the defense. I gathered information on mitigating factors and wrote reports for the mitigator and defense team. I also attended the trial of the client.

My duties were multifaceted. First, I functioned as a teaching assistant for a 400-level Forensic Psychology course. Second, I assisted in collecting, coding and synthesizing data with SPSS on perceptions on gender in simple and aggravated assault situations as well as career surveys of college students

Throughout these three internships, I was given oppurtunities in different areas of research. First I was able to complete my thesis. Second, I assisted on a study of police training manuals and domestic violence.
